Barney takeover

Even invites you to celebrate Brazil’s Carnival spirit with a screening of Matthew Barney’s De Lama Lâmina (2004), at the Metrograph in New York.
Join us for the 50-minute film, followed by a conversation about Carnival and spectacle with Claire Tancons, a New Orleans-based curator and art historian, and Melvin Gibbs, a bassist and composer who performed in De Lama Lâmina.
This event is free but requires an RSVP. To attend, please email RSVP@evenmagazine.com. Seats will be allocated on a first-come basis.
Thursday, January 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. Metrograph Theater 7 Ludlow Street, New York
Please be aware that De Lama Lâmina contains extended graphic and erotic scenes.
